The brief History of the Moondust Kennel.
In 1988 the first Golden retriever came into our lives, bought as a pet from a local breeder.
One is only one, and after a while we decided to take another one, his name was Max (Fiveshill Amazing Snowflake).
With Max we started ours and his showcareer, the results you can see and find on this webpage.
The Moondust prefix was established at 1993.
This was also the year that we imported Garbank Rainbow , the foundation bitch of our kennel.
In April 1996 we did breed our first litter with Garbank Rainbow and Ch. Nose to Nose of the Hellacious Acres.
We kept a bitch out of this litter and named her Moondust Annaliesa, she proved to be a wonderful broodbitch.
Her litter brother Moondust After All at Garbank Lislone(1 CC in the UK) moved to Kate and Jim Crosbie at the Garbank Lislone kennel.
That same year we imported a puppy dog from Kate and Jim Crosbie who became the later well known Ch.Garbank Lislone Jackpot (Sh.Ch.Garbank Lislone Edition x Garbank Maschenko of Drumlamford).
He is our first Dutch Champion and German and VDH champion and of course UK Sh.Ch., a truly historic fact.
His “falling in love” to Moondust Annaliesa resulted in a beautiful litter from which two litter sisters (We couldn’t make up our mind so decided to keep them both) stayed at Moondust.
Their names are jun.Ch.Moondust Eleanor and Ch.Moondust Emma
That they are both successful is proven by the fact that Eleanor got two times the CC with BOB and took the Luxemburg and German junior Ch. title and that Emma got 9 CC’s with 4 times BOB and became Top winning bitch 2000 in the Netherlands, and took her final CC in 2002 which made her up as a Dutch Champion.
2002 was also the year that our Ch.Garbank Lislone Jackpot took his UK Sh.Ch.title, “Thank you Kate and Jim for all the energy you put into this.
